At Agnew DriverTraining, I understand that driving lessons are expensive, and as such I strive to keep my prices as competitive as I possibly can.  However, when choosing your Driving Instructor, it is very important to remember that it's not about finding the cheapest in town- it's about finding the best qualified ADI you can afford, this may be cheaper in the long run.

I am one of the most highly qualified Instructors in the South Lanarkshire area, and I am continually expanding my experience. For the past 5 years, I have had over 50 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD), and although this is not a requirement for the DSA, I feel the need to update as often as possible.

Due to my continual CPD goal, I now have more qualifications than are required by the DSA, this helps me maintain a high level of instruction at a reasonable hourly rate.

 Due to the ongoing inflation in petrol prices, I have had to adjust the price of my "block bookings". I understand price is a big feature when choosing an Instructor, and as such, I have kept my hourly rate as low as I possibly can.

Pass Plus Course Rates

NB:   South Lanarkshire Council currently subsidises the cost of the Pass Plus course by refunding you with a cheque to a maximum of £75 when you submit proof of your Pass Plus certificate.  This means your pass Plus course could cost as little as £60 which is equal to £10 an hour.

Intensive & Semi-Intensive courses
Intensive courses and semi intensive courses can be tailored to suit your diary, most intensive courses are based around 30 hours, this does not mean that the 30 hours will have everyone at test standard, some people will take longer and there is NO such thing as "a guaranteed pass" at the end of the course.

The prices for intensives do not include the practical driving test fee(this can be added if requested).

Intensive courses will only be started if you have passed your theory so that we can book a practical test for the end of the intensive course.

30 hours spread over 1 week            £600   = £20 per hour

30 hours spread over 3+ weeks        £570   = £19 per hour

Refresher Course 

2 hours                                          £45      = £22.50 per hour
4 hours                                          £90      = £22.50 per hour

Advanced Driver Course

£25 per hour for a fully personalised course (£20 if useing your own car)

Your Advanced Driving course will be designed and tailored to enhance your existing ability and will be based on Roadcraft (The Police Advanced Drivers Handbook).

The lessons will include town, country and motorway driving.

You will be taught how to use skills such as acceleration sense, limit point analysis and how to enhance your planning, anticipation and observational skills.
As I hold the highly respected RoSPA Diploma in Advanced Driving Tuition, I can (if required) carry out a demonstration drive with full commentary(FREE of charge), which can be used as a learning tool to help with your training and to show the level of skill you can reach with the right tuition.

The Driving Standards Agency website (DSA) gives details of the average amount of hours of tuition required to sit and pass the Practical Test and recommends 45 hours of professional driving lessons plus 22 hours of private practice.
